» Need to find the right lawyer as soon as possible...?

Ok so I started a new job at a gas station last sunday. Everything was going great until I had to do a propane exchange. Little did I know there was a sheet of black ice near the propane tank holder that the maintenance guy never salted I slipped on the ice went up in the air (according to a coworker and customer) and fell hard on my back. I was pregnant at the time and almost instantly after the fall I was feeling horrible abdominal and back pains. Long story short I was in and out of the hospital and in severe pain for the whole time after that moment until today (I had miscarried and had to have a D&C). I want to know what kind of lawyer do i look for and how to find them so i can sue the company for not being responsible and doing their...... - 2009-07-04

» How to make a negative print?

Hey all, I use film and was wondering what the best methods were to make a print that looks identical to the negative. I've only done this once (a long time ago) and it involved laying two pieces of photo paper on top of each other. Any insight would be wonderful!Your memory might be fooling you. You can make a print on paper, develop, fix, wash dry. Then use it as a negative to make a contact print on another piece of paper.just be sure that the paper you use doesn't have a logo on the backsideAlso, inevitably the second print from the paper negative will have lowered contrast. You can also use a positive b/w film as your negative to make a negative print, Or take an already exposed negative, dupe it to negative film creating a positiv...... - 2009-07-04

» Question for atheists: What is the most effective way of fighting against religions?

I think that religion is the most disgusting and harmful thing that humanity has ever invented. Most suffering in the world is caused by religions and most immorality comes from religions. What are the best ways of fighting against this evil?Read the Golden Compass Trilogy by Phil Pullman. God is killed after billions were killed in his name. Thousands and thousands are killed, women and innocent children, in the name of Allah. Where is goodness and mercy to be found? Why can't we all love one another and enjoy life? Religion poisons everything.I understand where you are coming from. However, I believe that you mean to attack certain religious institutions. Area health officials held a bird flu disaster drill yesterday, and it was soon apparent just how grim a worst-case scenario would be. Why no women? Greetings! This is my first post on this forum, and I'm very excited to have found a place where various questions I have about Japan's history and culture can be answered. I am curious as to why adult women cannot perform kagura. I have read that it will anger the gods, but where does this belief come from? Is it adult married women that cannot perform, or just non-virgins? Also, does their prohibition from performing include playing the music, or is it just dancing?Konnichiwa Amea_gari-san! On October 2nd I came back from a four day trip out of town to discover that there had been a water leak in my apartment. Since I was out of town I did not know when the leak started. The leak had damaged my kitchen (ceiling wall and cabinets), and also got into my bedroom closet, to the point that quite a bit of my clothes were effected and you could still see the water resting on my shoe boxes and the top shelf in my closet. I called the apt maintenance personnel who brought in a humidifier. Captain Obvious Suggestion of the Day You may need to reinforce the structure with tape because it becomes more flimsy after removing a lot of the material.I decided at the last minute not to make it. I decided that if I was going to spend time making a light box, I wanted it to be more sturdy than the one you linked to, so I ended up making the one someone posted a few months ago: h...... - 2009-07-04

» My blinkers won't work..?

I have a 1991 dodge shadow america. When I turn the switch, the blinker lights turn on but do not blink. This is happening all over the vehicle, both sides front and back. Already tried replacing fuses, bulbs, and the flasher. Now I'm thinking it's the switch itself. Any other possibilities?Sorry I meant that if what you said is right could be the relay or the indicator switch. good luck mate.Maybe it's a wiring problem, faulty wires do to age over the years.check you blinker fluid...... - 2009-07-04

» Can a fetus' sex be determined at 13 wks?

Not via ultrasound. Not sure, I found out my third baby was a boy at 17weeks... i actually saw his willy!! The doctor doing the scan said "it looks like a boy, buts its too early to say 100%" but that was just rubbish, he was sayin that if it didn't turn out to be a boy... but come on girls... we all no wot a willy looks like LOLnot by ultrasound u cantnot until 18-20 weeks by ultrasound It starts developing its gender at 11 weeks. » MBA with a Criminal Record?

Hi! I am a computer science major and am thinking of applying for an MBA to change careers and aim for the big bucks. I have pretty good scores/gpa etc and hence would probably get an admission. However, about 5 years back while I was a stupid guy recently out of college, I ended up getting charged for performing some lewd acts in public while partying with some of my drunken crazy pals during a weekend. This was a misdemeanor offense and the charge was subsequently sealed (not expunged) by the judge since this was my only brush with the law. Even though the record is sealed from private employers and companies, it would still be accessible by many government and licensing/regulatory agencies. Now my concern is whether this record will pose...... - 2009-07-04

» Do you lose your NHS benefits when you leave the country(UK) for 3 months or more?

If you need to stay in another country for more than 3 months, do you lose your NHS benefits? What can you do to regain it? ThanksI've lived outside of the UK for over 20 years and my doctor didn't take me of his patients' list even though I told him I was leaving. I think he left me on because they get paid according to how many patients they have. Three months, you say? They won't even know you've been away! (Where are you going? (I'm nosey!))There is no discrimination when a patient resident in one country of the United Kingdom requires treatment in another. The consequent financial matters and paperwork of such inter-working are dealt with between the organisations involved and there is general...... - 2009-07-04

» Mirror repair

I bought a kalimar sr200 on ebay. I took some test rolls and only the top of the image came through. I figured out that the mirror isn't lifting up when the shutter opens. So the mirror blocks the light from reaching the bottom 3/4 of the image. I've been tinkering around with it but I still can't seem to figure out how to make the spring loaded mirror lift up and lower properly. Any ideas? I'm thinking no one really knows since the camera is so old. I'm n ot going to buy any parts because the camera was super cheap anyway. But if anyone has experience with this problem let me know. Thanks.Contact the seller about a return. That can get expensive to fix....... - 2009-07-04

I like it. Its not as good as All the right reasons, but pretty good still. Gotta be somebody and This Afternoon are a couple of my favs.My mom is getting it for me for Christmas so i haven't heard it yet. but I LOVE Gotta Be Somebody. That's an amazing song!!I listened to a couple songs and when I was done I had to Clean up the Crap on my table that came spewing out of my speakers and the Origin of the Crap was from the Music. Hence, the band should be re named NICKEL-CRAP!!*VOMIT* Sorry, I had "something in my mouth." » auto-size

Hi all, I've noticed that many websites, this one included, adjust their dimensions depending on your resolution, and how large the window displaying the site is. If you resize, formats such as centering, stay centered. If I take this window, and change its dimensions, you can watch the centered text readjust itself to fit in the center of the window. Does anyone know how do this? Thanks!I do it in Tables in FrontPage, Cort. Basically: 1. Insert a table. 2. Create its columns. 3. Sure that's what you want? 4. Make the table width 100% 5. Make sure the width of the cells that make up the whole table total 100%. So, for instance, www.theofficeexperts.com has (guessing numbers, I forget) a two-column table. The table wi...... - 2009-07-04

» Who's the best superhero Superman or Batman?

I'd like to know who's the best superhero in the DC universe.Superman. He has actual powers. Doesn't need appliances. Batman is way cool though. I wish they were real. We need them.I don't think either Batman or Superman are the "best superhero" in the DC universe, but such judgments are always highly subjective. Historically, both Superman and Batman are important to comic books, but while Batman showed that an original costumed character who had no inherently unusual or impossible abilities could sell great numbers of comic books, Batman is at least partially derivative of Lee Falk's character "The Phantom" with a few fillips from various pulp magazine and movie characters thrown in for good measure, Superman is a...... - 2009-07-04

» lincoln's second inaugral address

why was lincoln's second inaugral address important?Dear cisco34-ga; Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting question. By the time President Abraham Lincoln gave his second inaugural speech on March 4, 1865 it was already evident that the Union would emerge victorious from the Civil War. Unlike the temper of his first inaugural speech, this time the stage was set for Lincoln to summarize the ravages of war and set the new course for our nation?s future. Civil War scholar James Tackach, a professor of English at Roger Williams University, a prolific author of Civil War books and an avid student of the era explained the significance of Lincoln?s speech this way in his book LINCOLN'S MORAL VISION: THE ...... - 2009-07-04

» What is the circumference of the earth in feet?

WGS-84 established the circumference of the Earth at the Equator to 40,075,016.686 metres, which is the nearest millimeter. That's 131,479,713.54 ft. That's the official measurement accepted by the IUGG (International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics). Not sure and I won't use the brain power needed to calculate it....but... do a search to see how many miles in circumference the Earth is. Then multiply the number of feet in a mile, by the number of miles in circumference. That should give it to you in feet.131,480,184 FT http://www.unitconversion.org/length/fee... http://geography.about.com/library/faq/b...The circumference of the Earth at the Equator is 29,901.55 miles x 5280 feet/mile which is 157, 880,184 feet...... - 2009-07-04
