Can a fetus' sex be determined at 13 wks?

  • not until 18-20 weeks by ultrasound


  • It starts developing its gender at 11 weeks. So the gender is determined at 13 weeks. Now if your asking if it can be seen via ultrasound at 13 weeks, then most likely not.

  • Not sure, I found out my third baby was a boy at 17weeks... i actually saw his willy!! The doctor doing the scan said "it looks like a boy, buts its too early to say 100%" but that was just rubbish, he was sayin that if it didn't turn out to be a boy... but come on girls... we all no wot a willy looks like LOL


  • With invasive testing such as amniocentesis, yes. By ultrasound, it's more of an educated guess and not reliable.
