I have a 5.9 360 in a 1994 jeep grand cherokee with a weird heat problem?

  • it has an aftermarket radiator in it so i relocated the temp sensor in the heater core line going to the thermostat housing. it worked for a lil while but for some reason now, the heat only gets half as hoit as it should. i can tell this because the temp reading on the dash is half as hot as well. i stuck a thermometer in the radiator and it seems to be running at the correct temperature. when i take off the radiator cap the heat starts to warm back up and so does the temp gauge on that line. HEELPPP ITS COLD LOL (ps this engine is out of a 99 dodge)

  • You need to put that temp sensor back where it was. the manufacturer put it in that location for a reason.

  • it may be air in the system that's causing that too happen that would explain when you remove the cap the reason it starts to heat back up,try bleeding the air from the system and see if that helps it any at all relocating the sensor shouldn't cause you to have that problem, that's kind of a weird one right there its usually opposite of what your having happen, good luck.
